I have probably already written this somewhere, yet, it is so important to emphasize that these recipes are templates. They are as a vehicle for everyone’s imagination or accomplishing a meal with what is available around you or changing certain ingredients you do not like.
It is hard for me to give exact cooking times. There are so many variables. The stove you are using, home or RV, or single burner while camping, elevation, even you own taste for example in pastas or vegetables. Mine is always “al dente” and vegetables only for a few minutes. The key is to built up a relationship, literally, with your path of cooking. Feeling, sensing what is going on. Time brings on such relationship.
